the pleasures of a day off

good afternoon ya'll. at 1:08 pm EST i am enjoying a wonderful day of not having class because it's Verteran's Day. thank you to all of our soldiers past present and future for protecting our country. while i give a silent round of applause to all the verterans i am still in awe and happiness of Barack Obama becoming the 44th President of the US. i am so happy for this country right now. i really think as Americans we can do a lot right now to turn things around and make things better. i really don't know how to describe it and showing off how inarticulate i can be for a 20-something, but i do know change has finally arrived. thank the gods.

so i sit here writing all of this, listening to the Twilight Soundtrack for what seems like the 50 bajillionth time since Saturday. i also listened to Dave Gahan's solo album Hourglass like 3 times saturday night. i have become a HUGE fan of Depeche Mode, thanks to my best friend Rastko. and Rammstein....also thanks to Rastko. and Rammstein is working on their 6th album as of this week which i'm so stoked and excitied about!! when i went CD shopping i picked up thier DVD Lichtspielhaus, which is quite amazing. i need to finish wathing it though

there are so many things i need to be doing, other than writing this. i think i may brave the cold, 44 degrees fahrenheit according to Yahoo! and go down to Burger King for lunch. then go into Starbucks next door and actually try coffee!!! i'm not really a coffee or tea person but there's a first time for everything. i saw something on their website about a peppermint mocha twist which sounds insanely good. there's a first time for everything, right?

as far as school goes, i need to start reading the stuff i have found on Hello Kitty - which is my topic for my paper for my Global Popular Culture class. we had to pick something that was transnational and Hello Kitty totally fits. i also have a geology test tomorrow at 10:30 in the morning, which at the moment i don't think i'm ready for but i typed out a stuudy guide like i did for our first test and i got a B on the first test so i don't think i should do that bad but i'm nervous.

but as of right now i need to STFU and go do something with my afternoon. i'll be posting another poem soon, i promise

I want to thank all of the veteran's that served our country as well. Thank you for remembering them. I have three relatives who are serving their country as of now and I am so grateful for their dedication to serve their country. Even though I do not support the war they are in my prayers everynight. Good luck on your test, and I suggest the iced coffee. It is delicious and I try to get one every chance I get
