just a few things
i just have a few things to say here...not that i say much anyway other than posting poems. and speaking of poems...
1.i wrote a new poem today
2.Goodbye Lenin! has been added to my list of favorite movies. if you're in the mood for a German movie i totally reccomend it.
3.i hate snow times infinity plus one. if i see anymore snow falling from the sky it will be too soon.
4.second semester of my junior year of college is going well so far...i hopefully will graduate next may.

semi snow day
yay for living in ohio i guess and getting a ton of snow. so being in college doesn't mean classes get cancled unless it's the second coming of jesus. so my mom called me at 8AM this morning and i was like "i think you got a ton of snow up there" (i go to college 2 hours away from my parents house) and so i get up and look out the window and i'm like "HOLY MERDE!!!" (merde means shit in french). so i go on my school's website and all classes were cancled until 1pm. then they sent an email about 20 minutes ago and classes are now cancled until 5pm which means my 6-9pm nigh class is still on. which i really hope they cancel the night classes. i need a mental health day already and the semester is only 2 1/2 weeks old

hanging in the air
dressed up quietly in a different depth
you almost couldn't tell
where authentic black and white ended
and Anton Corbijn began.

in that untitled winter -
trash cans full of cigarettes and Jack Daniels
scissors cutting time on the grandfather clock.
something in the way you called it home
and i cried
when i put away my prompter cards
i think i finally
taught you a thing or two.
by conversations end
no words to exchange
only a look when everythings been said.
we can't open mouths to say goodbye

new year
hi everyone...the three people who actually look at my blog. yes, i am still here. i didn't dissapear, or die or anything major like that. i was busy with the end of the semester, which i got 4 B's and 1 A, so go me!! and then i was on christmas break for 20-some wonderful days.
well, the first few weren't that wonderful...the thing is...i have this thing called Graves Disease, which does not mean i love cemetaries or gravestores, that would be too literal if you ask me. but raves Disease basically means that i had a hyperactive thyroid, which if you don't know what your thyroid is, it's this thing in your neck. look it up on wikipedia or some shit because i have no idea how to explain it. but anyway, my first full day on break, december 19th, i had to have radioactive iodine treatment, which basically this really shitty tasting water. when i had to have the procedure done, i had to be at the medical center and a really ungodly hour of the morning to have a pregnancy test. i had to get up at like 5:45 in the morning so i could take a shower and go to endocrinology (i'm a diabetic if you didn't read my first post ever) to pee in a cup to tell them i wasn't pregnant. hello, can you for like one second believe a 20-something when they tell you they're not pregnant and have no sex life?? so yea, i was at the medical center for like 7 hours because they gave me this pill to take and then i had to wait 4 hours so they could then take some pictures to determine if i needed the iodine. and i was so tired i fell asleep on the floor. and i hate sleeping on the floor, it makes my back hurt.
so i had to be "isolated" for 3 days which meant eating everything off paper plates, my mom not letting me in the kitchen, having to use lysol wipes and flush twice every time and me being bored out of my skull.
the rest of my christmas break was wonderful. don't let the above rant deceive you. i got a hello kitty clock radio for christmas which is like the cutest thing ever. and i got CSI season 7 and pink lowtop converse. plus some other stuff....but trust me when i say always go with low top converse.
so...now i'm into my 2nd semester of my junior year of college, which means that in a year from may i'm done with college and thrown to the wolves that is the real world. oh god save me.

update...
ta-da!! here i am. yes, i'm still alive and i know it's been almost 20 days since i last updated this boring blog that only 3 people follow and have no idea if anyone else reads it that i don't know about...which is probably nobody. so why am i wondering that? i have no idea.
thanksgiving break in a nutshell
nov.26-saw Twilight -->enjoyed it very much. have read the frist three books and working on Breaking Dawn (forgive me for being a slow reader i can't help it. and college is overwhelming. especially if you're trying to disect feminism and understand it. Fun Fact: i am a Popular Culture Major and Women's Studies Minor). christmas break starts on the 18th for me, so i will get it done before the year is out. but Twilight...they could have done a few things way better. and i'm still not so crazy about Robert Pattinson. #1. i don't think he's cute. #2.i hate chest hair. but that's a different story.
nov.27-thanksgiving was thanksgiving. mashed potatoes. green bean casserole. red wine. Uno and Apples to Apples. make my day!
nov.28-did Black Friday for the first time in my life. but i Black Friday'd at Half Price Books. now for ya'll who don't know what that is...read this now: http://halfpricebooks.com/our_story.html this is probably like my favorite store. next to Hot Topic and Target.
nov.29-spent the day with my BFF Rastko (rhymes with Boscoe) we went to a college basketball game, my uncle's for church (yes, another fun fact: one of my uncles is a catholic priest. althought i am an extremely lapsed catholic - yet again, a different story) and hung out at my house and when out for dinner with my parents. Rastko is basically the best guy best friend ever and no, he's not gay...slightly metro due to the fact that he's European.
and then the 30th i came back to school cuz break was over.
and did anyone else watch CSI tonight and think it was creepy and sad at the same time?
